Consistent saving practices are important to teach to youth. We make saving money exciting for our youth members with the BUCK CLUB Program. This program consists of a special BUCK CLUB Share account that gives children incentives for saving money along with fun contests, sweepstakes, newsletters and more.
How to become a youth member is simple.
Currently all youth membership applications must be filled out at one of our branch locations or at one of our in-school credit unions (see below). Online applications coming to our Virtual Branch soon!
Membership Information needed:
Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open a youth account you must have the youth's social security card/number, along with their full name, address, telephone number, date of birth.
Original Opening Deposit:
The minimum amount to open a youth account is $5. Once the youth savings balance grows to at least $25 they will have a full share in the credit union. The youth is then an owner!
Come by one of our convenient branch locations or call for information today!
Meet Buck: Buck the bloodhound is always on the hunt for new ways to help children learn about money. Youth members of the Buck Club love it when he makes an appearance at festivals and events to spread the word about the power of saving.
Each week Buck Club members attending Acme Delco Middle and Acme Delco Elementary can make their deposits at their in-school credit union branch. The credit union is open each Wednesday at the following time:
ACME DELCO MIDDLE SCHOOL - TBA
ACME DELCO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - TBA
Riegelwood is the very best Credit Union we have ever done business with, they actually care about their customers and when you get in a crunch, they will help you out by giving you options. I recommend Riegelwood Credit Union as the best Credit Union in North Carolina...
The staff is always wonderful!
Best service and rates! Everyone is very helpful!
Balances of at least $25 earn the same interest rates as our adult savings accounts.
Your money is insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government.
A $5 minimum savings deposit is required to open and growing the youth savings account to $25 represents their initial share in the credit union.
